Made for my good friend Alexander who generously helped cover a portion of my tuition fees for West Dean. Though inspired by and built from a 1915 Martin plan, this design deviates with its steel strings, truss rod, decorative elements and oil based finish.

As a personal touch for my friend, I used reclaimed iroko decking from his childhood home (where the guitar gets its name) and mahogany from his late father's workshop in the decorations. The end wedge also includes marquetry in tribute for Tia, Alex's elderly dog who passed away in 2023. A demo of the guitar can be found here.
